Stephen Harris Cohen

Stephen Harris Cohen, 36, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2022, surrounded by his devoted parents Michael and Karen, and loving sisters Rachel and Emily. Stephen faced many medical challenges throughout his life resulting from viral encephalitis contracted in the newborn period.

He will always be remembered for his beautiful smile and sweet disposition. In addition to his parents and sisters, other family members include his aunt and uncle Donna and John Levenson, aunt Susan Cohen (Todd McIntosh, dec.), aunt Esther Lapin, uncle and aunt Richard and Gloria Lapin, and many cousins.

Special thanks are for the many caregivers who made the difference in Stephen’s life, and we are forever grateful. They are, Cubby (dec.) and Dan Lahood, Martha Jimenez, Kecia Johnson, Florence Kilungya, Delmar Castillo, Teresa Akoto, Yvette Bradsher, Georges Djiadjie, Emerita Ugay, Karim Fofanah, and Fred Grosskurth. His housemates David and Gail always looked out for him as did his roommate Curtis.

Funeral services will be at Tikvat Israel in Rockville, MD on Monday, March 14 at 10 am. Burial will follow at Garden of Remembrance in Clarksburg, MD.
