On Monday, October 17, 2016, Stephen Kelly Elkins passed away at his home in Boyds, MD. Dear husband for 46 years of Rae Barbara Elkins; loving father of Robin Ann Wood and husband David Wood, Sherri Lynn Hooper and husband Jeffrey Hooper, Sr.; loving grandfather of Jessica Benson, Kelli Wolfe Mallow and husband Joshua Wolfe Mallow, Brittany Eisenstein, Bethany Eisenstein, Shelby Hooper, Stevie Hooper, Samantha Hieber and husband Bradley Hieber; loving great-grandfather of Joshua Wolfe Mallow, Jr. and Isabelle Wolfe Mallow. Stephen is also survived by his sister Vivian Greene and brother Frank Elkins. Stephen served as an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Key Memorial Chapel located at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 515 South Market Street, Frederick, MD 21701. A gathering of family and friends will be held immediately following the funeral services at 14500 Anchor Lane, Boyds, MD 20841.
