THOMPSON, STEPHEN Stephen A. Thompson "Bubby" of Silver Spring, MD. passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at age 77. He was born August 23, 1937 in Washington, D.C to the late Regina McDermott and Harry A. Thompson. He attended St. Dominic's Catholic School and Chamberlain Vocation High School and was a baker by trade. He retired from Heidi/Giant Bakery in 1992 and was a longtime member of the Bakery and Confectionary Union and Industry International local #118. He was also a loyal and valued member of the Southwest Alumni Association. Bubby is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Juanita A.Thompson, his loving children Stephen M. Thompson, Dennis R. Thompson (Tina), Adele R. Thompson, Juanita L. Thompson (Joseph) and James T. Thompson, 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Bubby's love for his family and friends, his kindness, generosity, storytelling and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will celebrate his life and receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm on Friday, March 13 at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home 11800 New Hampshire Ave. Silver Spring, MD. 20904. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Andrew Apostle Catholic Church 11600 Kemp Mill Rd. Silver Spring MD. 20902 at 11 AM on Saturday, March 14. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery , 2121 Lincoln Rd. Washington D.C 2002.
