Complications ended up causing a rapid deterioration in her health as she was doing well and was healthy just a few months ago. She chose to go to the home of Keith and Jeanne Mack who live close, where She was in hospice there for 26 days and closed her eyes peacefully last Tuesday.
Sylvia worked for the Seventh-day Adventist Church most of her life in various capacities in schools as a secretary and cook, at an SDA hospital as a receptionist and at the General Conference for many years, ending up as the Department Head of the Mail Room when she retired in 1996. She was the 68-year wife of Erwin Mack who passed away in April of this year.
In honor of her wishes there will be no funeral and no immediate memorial. She and Erwin will be interned together in the Arlington National Cemetery later this year.
Sylvia was blessed with a long life as she was 91. But best and most important of all she was a great and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother!
Her children around the world are looking forward to seeing her again when Christ returns. We thank-you all for your friendship and kindness to our dear Mother.
