We will miss our dear friend, Tao. His gentle soul offered much comfort everywhere he went. Rest well now.

仅有的几张照片依然记录了当年磐石团契的温馨时光，那时任涛是团契主席， 带领我们查经， 组织社区活动，  一起打球，看樱花， 聚餐。有时候星期天敬拜完我们团契要收理圣餐用品，误了教会的午餐时间， 就一起去餐馆团建，好像教会附近的有点名声的中餐馆都被我们团契扫过了。 节假日还开放家庭，让一群孤身在外洋插队的单身狗们在他家过圣诞节， 唱诗歌，玩游戏， 文芬会给我们准备美食，让孤单打拼的年轻人享受神里面的家庭温馨关爱。 年轻人主意多，个性强，查个经都会起争执， 任涛从来不生气，总是笑眯眯的，温和地带领着我们查看圣经。那时他们两个孩子都还小，还有很多课外活动，任涛和文芬就要很仔细安排时间， 卡着点连轴转，有时候排不过来，只能带跟着我们 一起活动，在我们惊奇的目光下， 一桌的美食中吃一个炒面， 小朋友也很 辛苦， 今天他们都出息了。 印象中， 任涛什么事都做， 有需要就接过来，也不说什么大道理， 身体力行给我们做榜样， 工作教会都忙， 孩子们都还小，却不曾看过任涛和文芬红过脸，总是笑眯眯的， 恩爱有加。 看到讣告上的照片我很吃惊， 时间过得这么快吗，  就要说再见了吗， 遗憾当年没有把握更多的机会，学习你不遗余力向着标杆奔跑 ， 但你跑过的途径 让我们体会到人生的价值不在乎长度， 更重于密度，奔跑向前， 不留遗憾。

The wonderful memory brought me back to the Bible study with you (Elder Tao) and Jennifer many years ago with the Rock Fellowship in the church, Chinese Bible Church of Maryland …. Your warmth, kindness and enthusiasm in serving the Lord was very encouraging to us!

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” (ESV)

親愛的文芬，

謝謝您和任長老，為神做了美好的見證。

非常謝謝你們好多次請我和家人來你們家，每次和你們聊天都非常開心，心情很輕鬆，因為你們很溫柔，謙和又平易近人。也謝謝你們為我們做婚姻輔導。和你們在一起的時光都是美好的記憶。

很希望自己能幫上什麼忙，可是人實在渺小。求主親自安慰您心中因為離別，孤獨和不解所致的痛苦。

一切都在主的手中，求主帶領。

2022年2月19日，任長老和文芬邀請我去吃飯，有一道鮭魚蛋羹很好吃，任長老介紹了他正在神學院學習的一些課程。

2023年2月11日，任長老和文芬邀請我們一家三口吃飯，並且介紹了去德國短宣的各種經歷。媽媽喜歡和任長老說上海話，覺得長老文芬都很親切和謙和。

I was deeply saddened to hear of Tao's passing. He was a truly remarkable person—kind, brilliant, dedicated, and deeply respected by all who knew him.

His leadership, mentorship, and warmth left a lasting impact on so many of us, both professionally and personally. It was an honor to work with Tao, and his memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who are mourning this loss. May you find peace and strength during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences for your loss. I remember Tao as a motivated leader who constantly strove to build up all those around him. His kindness and dedication to his staff left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with. I appreciate all that Tao did for us and will fondly remember the positive impacts he made on us all.
