

William A Guy passed on December 3, 2025. He was predeceased by his wife Carol Guy. He is survived by his son William J Guy (Margaret), granddaughter Noelle Guy (Brian Schuler), grandson Thomas Guy (Holly), great grandson Parker Guy, Sisters-in-law Sandra Stark (Chris) and Nancy Harding (Mike Ricketts), and nephews Brian Harding and Todd Stark.
Bill was born in Morgantown WV in 1941 to parents James and Leona Guy. He loved his West Virginia family very much and so enjoyed his visits back home with his siblings, James, Dolores, Mary, and Glenna.
He joined the Marines on October 29, 1959. Where he served in the USA and the Orient. He met his wife, Carol, at Henderson Hall in Arlington, VA while stationed at Quantico Marine Base in Quantico VA. After they wed, they moved to Euclid, Ohio and returned to Maryland shortly after the birth of their son Billy.
While living in Maryland, Bill coached his son Billy in baseball. There he met his lifelong friend Phil Ballenger. As sports fans they attended many sporting events including several West Virginia Mountaineer football games of which Bill was a huge fan.
Bill loved to dine out and loved his second home in Assateague Pointe near Ocean City, Maryland. They spent as many weekends as they could down at the shore.
Bill worked for Merkel Press and later changed employment to Kelly Press. He retired from Kelly Press. After retirement he and his wife moved to Bridgeville, DE.
Bill loved to golf. After being mentored by his father-in-law Jim Norton, it became his passion. He still loved to play golf with his son Billy. Bill also loved to take car trips with his wife. They especially loved the Shenandoah Valley area. He loved his time with his grandchildren, Noelle and Thomas Guy, at Disney World and at the beach. Family was so important to Pop-Pop.
