Im so sorry to hear, Bill passed away..I was thinking about him this morning, and thinking if anything ever happened to him, I would never know, because I no longer get the newspapers...Mark Goldberg just called to tell me..In reflecting back in the last forty years, Bill was one of the most important people in my life..He taught me so much, .Learning the clothing business..Here I am still doing it, with all he taught me..When we would get together for our yearly downtown lunch..I got the feeling he enjoyed listening to me carry on with the business, knowing he was my mentor..I will miss him, and will remember him as a very special person in my life..My deepest sympathy to you and your family....Joyce Brezina TeBockhorst

Dear Beki,
  Please know that I am heartbroken for the family's loss.  Bill was the rock and strength of the family. You and Bill embraced me as family from the very first day we met and we share the warmest of memories of so many wonderful and festive celebrations, holidays, Zach's Bar Mitzvah in Israel, and so much more. We shared the joy of grandchildren being born and watched and marveled at them as they grew up. He loved his family more than anything and his kindness and generosity knew no bounds. His grandchildren knew they could always count on him for support and encouragement when it counted.  I remember how he surprised me by bringing my sister from NJ to Sherry and Michael's beautiful engagement party, made all the arrangements for her, picked her up at the airport, arranged the hotel and wined and dined all of us. Yes, he was a gem in the truest sense of the word! His goodness and generosity if spirit will stay with me forever.  The very first time I was in Chicago, he toured me around the Loop pointing out the beautiful architecture as he drove from street to street.  He loved his city and was proud of it too.  I've been blessed to know him as I have and for the memories of all those good times with you all. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Rebekah, Mike and Sherry, 
I am speachless.  Bill and I were on the Family Network Board many years ago together.  I loved him dearly - he was such a great mentor.  I was first introduced to you all when I was a camp counselor at Ravinia Preschool (Sarah was one of my campers).  Then I had the honor of being on the Family Network Board with Bill.  To then have Mike as my law school professor was such an honor.  My thoughts are with the Kaufman family.  Bill was a great man, and you are a great family.

I am so sorry to learn of the passing of my second cousin Bill.  I can still remember at the age of 14 attending your wedding in Nashville with my mom.  It was the first time I ever flew on a plane.  As a 14 year old, I'll always remember what a beautiful couple you were and how happy you looked together.
