She was born on February 20, 1933, the daughter of Pierre Raymond and Georgianna (Regina) Plourde Raymond. She graduated from St. Martin of Tours High School in 1951.
She married her husband and best friend, Donald J. Charette, on June 23, 1956, in Millinocket; throughout their marriage of 42 years, she devoted herself to raising their three children and played an integral role in all their business ventures. They owned and operated The Theatre Grille, which later became Big Don’s Restaurant and Laundromat, for eighteen years.
Bea was a dedicated member of her church and community, and she was a proud and devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of and treasurer for the Daughters of Isabella Little Flower Circle #392 for decades. She was a communicant of St. Martins of Tours Catholic Church, where she operated the church gift store and volunteered in a number of secretarial and administrative tasks.
She is survived by: two children, Theresa DuBois and her husband, Ronald, of Skowhegan; Jim Charette and his wife, Pauline, of Millinocket; sister, Maxine Morrow, of Millinocket; nine grandchildren, Rebecca, Regina, Butchie, Kevin, Michael, Matthew, Gary, Jimmy, and D.J.; eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by: her mother and father; husband; son, Ronald “Butch” Charette; and two brothers, Phillip Raymond and Joseph Raymond.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby Street, Millinocket, Maine, with the Reverend Fr. Bruce Sicket officiating.
Interment will take place in the spring of 2019 at the Millinocket Cemetery.
