For most of her adult life, Blanche was a homemaker. However, she did work at Laurel Plastics as a spinner in Madison for several years, and then she worked at Solon Manufacturing in Solon as a chopper operator for 10 years before her retirement.
Blanche enjoyed doing word search puzzles and watching TV. She was particularly fond of game shows, Jerry Springer, Walker Texas Ranger, old Westerns and Elvis. Blanche always looked forward to having people come visit or going out for a ride. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Blanche is predeceased by her parents; daughter, Ellie Curtis; son, Ray Cooley; two brothers, George and Stanley; and three sisters, Hazel, Dede, Carolyn and Eleanor.
She is survived by her nine children, Sandy Towle of FL, Cindy McKenny and husband Pat of Athens, Scott Hilton of KY, Sheala Cooley and husband Edward “Ted” of Jackman, Donald Curtis and wife Misty of Madison, George Curtis of Skowhegan, Chad Curtis of Skowhegan, Chuck Curtis and wife Annette of Detroit, Mary Brown and husband Dwayne of Athens; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Blanche’s life will be announced at a later date.
