Brian Douglas Greene

SKOWHEGAN – Brian D. Greene, 66, passed away on October 21, 2018. He was born in Skowhegan on October 20, 1952 the son of Earl and Marion (Keene) Greene. Brian attended Skowhegan schools before going on to work for many years at Madison Paper. Later in his life, Brian enjoyed doing odd jobs and palling around with Harvey Austin. In August 1974, Brian married Gloria (Dawes).

Brian loved his Harley and enjoyed playing darts. He was also an avid life-long Red Sox fan.

Brian is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gloria Greene; daughter, Tammy Cowette and her husband Kim; grandchildren, Schyler Cowette and Mikayla Cowette; great granddaughter, Amelia “Millie” Cowette; sisters, Pam Dawes and her husband Ernie, and Sharon Estridge; brother-in-law Steve Estridge and his wife Pam; dear friends Harvey, Lloyd and Tom; and a large extended family of in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Family and friends may visit from 1-4pm, Saturday, October 27 at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan. Interment will be at a later date at Mount Rest Cemetery, Athens.
