Dennis Weeks Sr.

He was born in Hartland on September 14, 1942; a son of the late Mahlon and Mildred (Salsbury) Weeks.

Dennis worked for many years as a welder and machinist at Stanley Tools. He was a member of the Skowhegan Sportsman Club, North Anson Grange, the United Methodist Church of North Anson, NRA, Buckmasters Club, and the Moose Alley ATV Club.

Most of all Dennis enjoyed haying, farming and hunting. He absolutely loved animals; every and any animal; especially his beloved dog Katie. Dennis adored his family and was a grandfather to all.

He is survived by his son Dennis Weeks Jr. and wife Lisa of Skowhegan, daughter Martha Dorey of Bristol, NH, his grandchildren; Laura, Jeffrey and Haley of Skowhegan, Katie and Allison of Bristol, NH, his siblings; Shirley Blake, Beverly Boom, Crystal Dunlop, Phillip, and Larry Weeks, Harriett Lyon, Martha and a half brother Carroll Weeks as well as many nieces, nephews extended family and friends.

Dennis was predeceased by his longtime companion Judy Lowe, his wife Rose Weeks in 2001, and two brothers; Allen and Gerald Weeks.

A graveside service will be held at East Skowhegan Cemetery on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 1 pm with Pastor Joseph Sanders officiating.
