September 8, 1935June 13, 2020

SKOWHEGAN – Dorothy "Dot" M. Corson, 84, passed away at her home with her dog by her side on June 13, 2020. She was born in Skowhegan, the daughter of Archie and Caroline (Tingley) Murray. Dot was raised by her grandmother Georgie Lessor after her mother passed away at a young age. On August 12, 1961 she married Chester Corson, Sr and together they raised their four sons. Dot loved going to the thrift store in Skowhegan, and anyone who knew her probably saw her walking around Skowhegan carrying her two shopping bags. She loved family holidays especially big Thanksgiving dinners where she could spend time talking with everyone. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Chester Corson, Sr. in 2012. She is survived by her sons, Chester Corson, Jr. of Orono, Kenneth Corson and his wife Christine of Norridgewock, Lee Merrill and his wife Margarita of Maryland, and Dennis Murray of Pennsylvania and 4 grandchildren. Dot's family extends their appreciation to Dot's dear friend Lynn Parise who helped her to get to appointments and run errands; Brad Corson for all help he provided Dot and Chet over the years; Erika who has been so helpful especially in the last year and to Marriann Cooley for letting Dot stay with her when she needed it and her constant friendship. A graveside service will be held at 12 pm, Sunday, June 21, at East Skowhegan Cemetery, Oak Pond Road, Skowhegan with Rev. Mark Tanner. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine. Tomorrow's sun my never rise, to shine it's beam my way. If you forgive my earthly wrongs, Then please forgive today.
If tomorrow's sun shall bring you news, That I have reached the end.
Will you pause long enough to say , This person was my Friend?
Tomorrow's sun may rise to find that I have gone on my way. Forgiveness then, will have come to late.

Dotty,
It's so hard to believe that your gone, and we will no longer see your smiling face, or the sound of your laughter. You left us all with so many memories, which we'll never forget. You will always live deep in our Hearts, We are thankful that God graced us with someone a special as you.
Your life on Earth is done, but now you live with Jesus in the heavenly Garden. May you RIP until we meet again .

The clock of life is wound but once, and no one has the power to tell just when our clock will stop, at a late or early hour.
Today is all the time we have So live, Love, and laugh at will place no faith in tomorrow For then the hands may be still.

Dotty, I'm going to miss you calling every night, the weekends you spent with me. how we would sit on the porch and reminisce, about all the changes in our lives. Stories that came and went, you remembered more than Madeline,or I but we did recall them once you mentioned.
We had lots of tales and great times, because we grew up next door like sisters. Our family dinners we shared together, with Madeline, myself and our family's.
We are all going to miss you so very much, you was a good caring person. You have touched so many lives, it was obvious at your services, so many friends, and hearts you touched. As they spoke at your funeral , every one had a story to tell.
I know you will be happy once again with Chester at your side in Jesus's Heavenly kingdom Forever in peace.
Until we meet again , RIP
Madeline Murray Corson, and Mary Ann Murray Cooley
