
He was born August 18, 1922 in New Lexington, PA, the son of Clyde J. McClintock and Mabel (Bonnell) McClintock.
He was educated in the New Lexington schools.
During WWII he was in the First Infantry Division of the US Army; he then reenlisted in the US Army achieving the rank of Sargent Major before retiring in 1967 with 24 years of service to our country.
Before reenlisting in the Army he worked as a cabinet maker in Somerset, PA. Mac moved to Wellington, Maine in 1967. He was the town forester in Wellington for many years and also worked as a woodsman from 1967 until 2012.
Mac was a member of the military order of the Purple Heart Organization in Bangor, and a member of the V.F.W. in Dexter. He was also an avid gardener and fisherman.
Besides his wife Emaline of 69 years of Wellington, he is survived by one son, Michael McClintock and his wife Lisa of Athens, four grandchildren; Stacie McClintock-Hatch and her husband Dan of Portland, Shawn McClintock and his wife Melissa of Zeeland, MI, Matt McClintock of Athens, Allie McClintock of Athens, six great-grandchildren; Sydnie, Maven, Maddisen, Teaghen, Ella, Finn, and several cousins.
He was predeceased by his mom and dad and one brother Richard McClintock.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday February 8, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, Maine.
