Edward was born in Calais, Maine. He grew up in Rhode Island, graduated from Scituate High School in 1972. He moved to Maine in 1989.
A lifelong tractor trailer truck driver, in his last years, Edward taught tractor trailer driving in Skowhegan. Edward was a private man. He lived for his work and was proud of the achievements of his students. He was happiest when he was in his pickup truck with a pack of smokes and a beautiful woman by his side.
Edward was predeceased by his mother, Betty Joan Phillips Connelly of New Brunswick, Canada, and his father, Edward C. Connelly of Camden, New Jersey.
Edward leaves behind a daughter, Michelle Connelly Rice and a grandson, Cole. He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Jane, Patricia, Luanne, and Deanna.
At Edward's request, there will be no service. A private burial will take place alongside his mother, an angel taken from us much too soon, in Tracy, New Brunswick, Canada.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Avenue, Skowhegan.
