He was born September 5, 1937 in Anson, Maine, the son of Edward J Knox Sr. and Beatrice (Trash) He married Rose Marie (Winslow) Knox on July 16, 1974.
He served in the US Army.
He was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rose Knox, his children Roger and Edward Knox, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, seven siblings and many nieces and nephews, as well as his step children.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday July 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, Maine.
Arrangements are under the care of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
