Ellen B Magoon

She was born on October 17, 1920 in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Alfred and Annie (Diamond) Byram.

She was educated in the Canadian school system.

She married Alfred Magoon on April 10, 1948, in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada. He passed away in 2007.

Ellen is a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Harmony.

Ellen loved spending time with her family and going to church. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, playing scrabble, doing cross word puzzles, gardening and canning the vegetables from her garden.

She is survived by two sons: Paul Magoon of Harmony, and Keith Magoon and his wife, Lou Ann, of Harmony; two sisters: Ethel Taylor of Palmyra, and Ruth Watson of Weymouth, MA.; two grandchildren: Joshua Magoon and his wife, Kelli, of Harmony, and Cassandra Magoon and her partner, Zach Currier, of Corinna; one great granddaughter, Ryleigh Byrd of Corinna, and many Nieces and Nephews.

She is predeceased by several Brothers and Sisters.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February. 26, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Avenue, Skowhegan, Maine.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February. 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Harmony, 9 Water Street, Harmony, Maine with the Rev. Henry Thibodaux officiating.

Interment will be later in the spring at the Libby Cemetery in Harmony.
