Francis J Pomerleau

He was born November 10, 1957 in Harmony, Maine, the son of Armand and Laureanne (Roy) Pomerleau.

Francis attended schools in Harmony and Dexter Regional High.

He worked many years as a self-employed logger and skidder operator. Francis also worked for Blackwood Railroad as an experienced operator.

He was a past member of the Harmony 4H. He loved being outdoors walking in the woods, watching and feeding the deer with his dog and best friend Mitsy (she will sadly miss her dad), he also enjoyed working in his gardens. Francis especially loved working in and around his garage with his son Corey tinkering on vehicles and doing odd jobs. He loved living next to his mother Laureanne so he could keep a close watch on her to make sure she was ok. Francis had a passion for horses he liked going to the fairs watching his dad Armand pulling his draft horses. In his younger years Francis had a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda that he loved driving around town.

Francis was a very kind and giving person he would help anyone in need.

Francis is survived by his son Corey J Pomerleau and his fiancé Bridget Dellarma, both of Harmony, his former wife Pamela (Annis) Pomerleau of Harmony, his brothers; Bruce Pomerleau and his companion Gina Foxe of Lyman, Steve Pomerleau of Skowhegan, Maurice Pomerleau and his wife Betty of Harmony, his sister; Linda Cooley and her husband Jeffrey of Harmony, his nephews; Kevin Pomerleau, Greg Pomerleau, Dylan Pomerleau, Erik Cooley, his niece; Theresa Pomerleau Klinges, aunts and uncles from Canada, people that were dear to him; Dave, Sheila, and Trudi, and his beloved dog and best friend Mitsy.

He was predeceased by his father and mother, and his brother John and a friend Shawna.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 15, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame de Lourdes, Water St., Skowhegan, Maine, with Father John Mazzei officiating.

Arrangements are under the care of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
