

He was born November 13, 2012 in Camden, Maine, the son of Frank D. and Alice C. (Ferren) Kennedy.
Frank graduated from Camden High School in the class of 1941. He served in the US Navy during World War II.
He worked for Camden Ship Builders in Camden as a caulker for many years. He moved to Skowhegan in 1955 and bought McLaughlin’s Taxi Business, he owned and operated that business for several years. He was a self-employed real estate agent and stock broker in Skowhegan.
Frank was a member of the American Legion Hall in Skowhegan and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Camden and Skowhegan for 53 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved going to his camp on Kingsbury Pond in Kingsbury.
He is survived by his wife Ruth of 70 years of Skowhegan, two daughters; Shirley Rice and her husband Bill of Alna, Mary Laweryson and her husband Robert of Skowhegan, one son; David Kennedy of Montgomery, Al., one brother; Robert Kennedy and his wife Margaret of Lincolnville, six grandchildren; Michael, Christine, John, Janet, Kelly and Amber, thirteen great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday July 19, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Maine Veterans Cemetery Chapel, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta, Maine, with the burial held at the cemetery after the services.
The family would like to thank the staff at Woodlawn Nursing Home for all the wonderful care they gave to Frank.
