

Glennis Louise (Crocker) Malbon, 89, of Skowhegan, died peacefully Tuesday September 1, 2015, at her home with her family and friends by her side following a 20 months courageous and brave battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born August 23, 1926 in Canaan, Maine, the daughter of Ernest and Lillian (Black) Crocker.
Glennis graduated from Skowhegan High School in the class of 1947.
On June 16, 1947 in Skowhegan, she married Russell Malbon Sr., he passed away June of 1969.
For many years, Glennis worked in the Kitchen at Redington Fairview General Hospital. She also spent many years as Dr. Jordan and Virginia Jordan’s housekeeper and cook. She was a volunteer at the Redington Fairview General Hospital for many years.
She loved cooking, gardening, sewing, quilting, and she enjoyed dancing every weekend for years with George.
She is survived by George Watson who was her companion for many years; her daughters, Jane Smith and her husband Robert, Lucinda Malbon and her husband Robert Tgettis, Maryellen Travers and her husband Tony; her grandchildren, Jennifer Rush and her daughter Zayna, Richard Rush and his daughter Nevaeh, Michelle Malbon and her children, Chrissie Malbon and her children, Scott Malbon and his children, and many nieces and nephews
She was predeceased by her husband; her sons James Peter Malbon and, Russell Malbon Jr.; her grandson Russell Malbon III and her sister Katherine Hoskins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 12, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the Federated Church, Island Ave., Skowhegan, Maine, with Rev. Mark Tanner officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Dubois for the wonderful care over the years and to Dr. Duggan and his entire staff at New England Cancer Specialist for the 20 months of excellent care and support that she received. The family would also like to thank Maine General Health, Home Care and Hospice for their wonderful care of our mother. A thank you to all the providers for the support they gave to our family. A special thank you to Sister Courtney for her prayers and support the gave to our family and to George.
