Jeff was born in Hartland, Maine August 17, 1964, the son of Frances (Stewart) Libby. He was educated in Harmony schools and graduated from Dexter Regional High School.
He will be greatly missed by his work family at RSU 19, where he had worked the last several years as custodian at the high school. Prior to working at the school, he was employed for over 20 years at Irving Tanning in Hartland.
Beloved Father, 'Grumpa', brother; those are just some of the titles that could be used to describe him. He relished spending time at his camp in Brighton and was looking forward to his grandchildren coming to love it as much as he did. Hunting and fishing with his friends and family were two pastimes that he
enjoyed in his younger years.
He cherished his family and loved spending time with his son, grandchildren, mother, siblings, nieces and nephews. Holidays spent with his Mom and family in years past were some of his most treasured memories, along with time spent with his 'fishinng buddies', a special name he had for his grandchildren. He was a man who was always tinkering on something; cars, trucks (too many to mention!), in addition to projects at his house and working on his camp in Brighton. He especially enjoyed listening to 'Country Gold' on Saturday nights, where he felt it was still country music!
Jeff was predeceased by his mother Frances; brothers Theodore and Donald; his former wife Barb, and special nephew, Randy, whom he was extremely close to.
Jeff is survived by his son, Dwight Erving and fiancé Whitney Batchelder, grandchildren Cullen, Natalie and Lincoln; sisters Mildred Huff, Deborah Morrison; brothers Lester Erving, Daniel Erving; sister-in-law Beverly Erving; several nieces and nephews; and close friend Eileen Mayer.
