

Linnie Marie Gallant, 82, of Skowhegan, Maine, passed away Sunday August 17, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born February 16, 1932 in Canaan, Maine, the daughter of Neal M. and Evelyn (Brooks) Foss.
She attended and graduated from Skowhegan High School in the class of 1950.
She worked in shoe manufacturing for several years.
Linnie is a current member of the Congregational Church of Norridgewock.
She was known by many loving names by her grandchildren including Grammy Linnie, Grammy Gallant and Mami Ninnie.
Linnie loved to talk on the phone, cook, watch hummingbirds, go for rides, and looking at family pictures. She also loved having her family over to enjoy her cooking. She enjoyed attending and watching her grandchildren’s sport games.
She has special tasks and jobs for her family.
Linnie leaves her children; Becky Lyons and her husband Rick of Skowhegan, Susan Burns and her husband Dana of Anson, Roberta Berry and her husband Edward of Norridgewock, her grandchildren; Shonya, Shelley, Sherry, Robert, Mary, Dusty-Lyn and Danny, seven great-grandchildren; Montana, Katie, Emerson, Jason, Justin, Danny and Seth, one sister Amy Heald of Madison, along with several nieces and nephews and special friends Charlie and Stanley McGray.
She was predeceased by her parents, three sisters, Mary Stevens, Esther Foss, Annie Mae Brown, 2 great-grandchildren, Jordan and Dana-Lyn Cummings.
A Graveside service will be held on Thursday August 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Walker Cemetery in Canaan, Maine.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Somerset County for their loving care of Linnie especially Michelle and Dr. Harry Irving of Norridgewock.
