Merwin was such a loveable man and I so enjoyed visiting with the both of you whenever I returned to Madison these last few years. I am so happy that he was able to attend our 2013 Class Reunion. You could tell that he was enjoying visiting with everyone. Though he has been called home, we know that one day we will see him again. Let your strength in the Church comfort you and guide you. Your precious memories of your time here on earth will always be in your heart.

Love and my God Bless you and your family.

. Merwin was a dear sweet friend. Dale and I have spent many hours with him and Loretta, and Merwin would tell me such tall tales. He will be missed by many, but now life for him will be without pain in that glorious place he now abodes, and no doubt Dale will be happy to see him. My prayers and thoughts are with Loretta and family.

Dear Loretta, thank you so much for the friendship and love you gave us while we served in Skowhegan. It was always a highlight of our time there when we were in your home and playing Dominoes with you and Merwin. He was a good sport and had a wonderful sense of humor. We love you and him very much and will pray for you to have comfort and strength during this difficult time. I know the Lord will bless you greatly and that the gospel of Jesus Christ will carry you through this. We will see you soon. Love, Elder and Sister Tanner
