Thomas Harold Quinn was born March 13, 1946 to Willis Henri Quinn and Helen Arlene (McClure) Quinn. He died on November 20 with Lynda by his side. Tommy spent his whole life as a hardware man. He started working in Blunt Hardware as a young boy. He bought the business from his dad in 1974 and by 1996 Quinn Hardware Co. Inc. was in the capable hands of his two older daughters.
He graduated from Skowhegan High School in 1964 and University of Maine Orono in 1968.
He married Lynda Lillian Nutting in 1967. They raised 3 daughters, Tommy was a prolific cabinetmaker. Many homes in Skowhegan have his kitchens.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lynda, three daughters, Alicia Faith Boulette (Larry), Vanessa Lee York, and Jessica Lynn Witty (Kyle). His daughters gave him 4 granddaughters, Janet Lynn Burrill (Jake), Lillian Grace Miner, Emma Lee York, and Alissa Jean Miner. Janet gave him two great granddaughters, Adeline Faith Burrill, and Quinn Sophia Burrill. Tommy loved his girls. He is also survived by his brother, Jeffrey Quinn (Susan), nephew, Matthew Quinn and niece, Katherine Quinn. Brother-in-laws, Peter Nutting (Debbie), and their son, Jay and grandsons, Logan and Russel Savage.
He is predeceased by his parents, Helen and Willis Quinn and sister, Joyce Quinn Savage.
Tommy’s career was hardware and being a store owner. But his love and true passion was his home, his lawns, and many, many projects. I promise you Tommy, there are no lists to complete in Heaven.
There will be a Celebration of Life in the summer of 2019 at their home that Tommy built on the East River Rd.
