

She was born July 18, 1934, in Kingsbury Plantation, Maine, the daughter of Harold E. and Gertrude O. (Gourley) Tuttle.
She was educated in Athens and Kingsbury schools.
She married Robert Lashon on July 2, 1960, he passed away in 2003.
Virginia spent many years working for Norrwock Shoe Company in Skowhegan, before becoming a day care provider for local children at her home in Athens for a number of years. In 1972, Virginia and Bob established the business “Bob’s Pizza” that they ran together until 1984. Virginia stayed working for the new owners until the early 1990’s.
She enjoyed putting together puzzles, playing yahtzee and playing cards, spending time at their camp in Smithfield and she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four children; David Tuttle and his wife Meredyth of Smithfield, Timothy Tuttle and his wife Cheryle of Safety Harbor, FL, Steven Lashon of Athens, Sherri Rowell and her husband Gary of Cornville, two sisters; Anna Martin and her husband Albert of Athens, Marion Goodrich and her husband Lionel of Killingworth, CT, two brothers; Richard Tuttle and his wife Kathy of Monroe, CT, James Tuttle and his wife Sheryl of Jacksonville, FL, six grandchildren; Kristen, Devan, Lindsay, Shaun, Jacob, and Casey, seven great-grandchildren; Anthony, Jackson, Lucas, Timothy, Landi, Gage, Jaden, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband and her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Monday April 22, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine. An internment will follow at the Mount Rest Cemetery in Athens, Maine.
