Walter Louis Davis

Walter L. Davis, 41, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. He was born in Skowhegan on January 27, 1976 the son of Daniel and Brenda (Taylor) Davis. Walt was raised and lived his entire life in Athens. He graduated from Madison Area High School, Class of 1996. Before his illness he enjoyed working as a mechanic at A.S. & C.B. Gould in Cornville. Walt lived for his children and enjoyed every precious minute he shared with them.

He is survived by his sons, C.J. and Logan; parents, Daniel and Brenda Davis; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Taylor; several aunts and uncles; many cousins; and many dear friends.

Graveside service will be held at 10am, Saturday, July 15, at Mount Rest Cemetery, Athens.

Walt’s family extends their deepest appreciation to the Athens Fire Department, Redington-Fairview EMS, and the Redington-Fairview Emergency Department; they showed exceptional compassion and care in the family’s darkest hour.
