

He retired at the rank of Command Sergeant Major after 37 years of military service with the Texas National Guard. He lived by the credo of God, Family, and Country and was a true patriot. He was a Life member of the Knights of Columbus, including serving as one of the founding members of the Smithville Council. He was also a Little league coach for more than 20 years, involved in Boy Scouts and many other organizations. He loved ranching and working with his cows. He enjoyed the time spent with the many friends he made while hunting, fishing, and playing golf. His greatest love of all was his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Brosch Ingram and his family.
He is preceded in death by parents Elton and Vera, and brothers Carlye Royce and Gene.
He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Brosch Ingram, son Bobby Ingram and wife Denise, daughter Becky Bunte and husband Mark, son Danny Ingram and wife Melissa, and daughter Brenda Wallace and husband John, brother Jerry Ingram and wife Doris, brother-in-law George Vacek, Grandchildren Rikki Bonet and husband Adriel, Melinda Anderson and husband Clint, Lorey Helford and husband Bryan, Stacey Ingram, Drew Ingram, Kyle Wallace, Cody Wallace, and great grandchildren Preston Bonet and Daxton Anderson.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Marrs Jones Funeral Home at 104 Olive, Smithville, Texas. A Rosary service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Smithville. A graveside service will follow immediately at Smithville's Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of their choice.
