His most recent sculpture, a 17 foot tall angel with an enormous wing span was dedicated to the fallen soldiers from Smithville who served in the armed forces.

Among condolences from Bill’s many friends is a tribute from Stephanie which expresses the feelings shared by this family and this community: “Today we say goodbye to a very dear man, a good friend, fantastic father, and amazing artist. We pray Bill is blessed with an unending supply of clay to sculpt, perfect vision, nimble hands to achieve every detail, and angel wings to fly to the top of the tallest sculpture. A huge void is now left in our world.”
