Dear Barstad Family,

I was very sad to hear the news that Mrs. Barstad had passed away. My son had her during her last year of teaching, and during that time, my own mother had a terrible accident and Barb was a great support and comfort to my son and to me. We still have the many beautiful craft projects she had her class do, and each time we look at them we will remember her talents and teaching. Blessings to your family during this sad time.

My words are not adequate to express the love and gratitude I have for the many life lessons I learned from Barbara. She was a beautiful woman. Barbara was a great friend who always believed the best in others. She was always requested by parents because she was such an excellent teacher. Barbara is now in Heaven with her Heavenly Father. I can almost hear Him... "well done my good and faithful servant". In rememberance of Barbara K. Barstad, teacher and human being extraordinaire.

My thoughts and prayers go to Daren, Robin and Laura. Your wife/mother loved you. Her amazing spirit is free and someday she will be at Heaven's door greeting us with her gracious smile and warm hugs. God bless you.

I am deeply saddened by the news of such a beautiful lady's passing. I have faith that she is in a better place & still lives on in our hearts. The world is a little darker without her. Light & Love to you & your family. Thank you for being such nice people. Jaimi Bailey (Safeway Snohomish)

To my sister, Barbara: My heart is broken but I am consoled in that Barb said she wanted to stay but if she had to go, she would make sure she was the "greeter" for us all when we enter heaven. Barb loved the Lord and was a blessing to so many people, especially the little children she taught, which Jesus so loves. "Refresh me, for I am lovesick. You have melted my heart with one look of your eyes. Water can not quench love, nor the flood drawn it. Place me as a seal upon your heart for my love for you is stronger than death" -Song of Solomon
