Betty Ruth Gale

In 1948 she married Dale Wakefield. They were happily married for 32 years until Dad’s death in 1980. They raised their children, Carla (Jim), Dan (Casey), Teresa (Jess) in Enumclaw, WA where Mom drove school bus for 14 years.

Mom married John Gale in 1985 and was happy to add Susan (Dave) and Warren (Diane) to her family. John convinced Mom to try snow skiing and bicycling (at 57!) and she loved it. Mom and John traveled the world for 29 years until his death in 2014.

Mom had many friends in Enumclaw and Gold Bar. She and John enjoyed entertaining their friends at their home on the Skykomish River – every year hosting an “Enumclaw Day”.

Mom did many years of volunteer work including Providence Hospital and the VFW.

Mom was always the ever-caring consummate mother to all her children, step children, grandchildren (12) and great grandchildren (12 + 1 on the way)

We will all miss her beautiful laugh, sense of humor and love.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
