Carl Eugene Everson, born July 31st, 1941, passed peacefully with his wife Donna by his side, surrounded by his children and the love of his family, at 11:11am on March 18, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father and friend who will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Born in Baker, Oregon to John and Beatrice Everson, Carl joined siblings Don (Betty) and Ruth (Cliff), followed by Chuck (Tricia). Carl moved from Oregon to the Seattle area, eventually making Everett his home. Carl had a long career with Fluke Manufacturing in Everett, as a Manufacturing Engineer.
Carl and Donna married in 1976, creating a blended family with his children, Steve (Chauni) Everson, Shari (Dan) Gilliland and Kristi (Craig) Van Der Horn and hers, Stacey (Mike), Jim (Lynn), and Rob. Their family grew to include twelve grandchildren, as well as fourteen great-grandchildren, and their sweet dog, Brandi – all of whom brought a sparkle to his eye, a smile to his face, and love to his heart. In addition to his dear family, Carl valued his friends, many of whom with which he shared decades-long, deep friendships, which he treasured.
Carl was a lifelong athlete, enjoying baseball, bowling, basketball, and golf. He played years of golf with his friends and family, at any opportunity, and hit an amazing 10 hole-in-ones. After many vacations in Southern California, Carl and Donna retired to Escondido, California, where they became a part of a close-knit golf community. After a short time spent living in Tucson, they returned home to Washington state to be closer to family, moving to Snohomish.
Carl had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed and valued. His kindness and love touched countless lives. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Donna, his six children, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, his hometown family, and many dear friends. He was cherished and will be profoundly missed.
The family would like to invite any friends whose life was touched by Carl, to gather and share memories and love in his honor. Lunch, drinks and desserts will be provided by the family.
