Our beloved Dad, Brother, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Uncle, and Friend passed away the morning of December 25, 2017. Born December 2, 1924 in Mandan, ND to Margaret and Clyde Allen Fields. They lived in Center, N D until the family moved to Maltby, WA in 1936.
Clyde served in WW2 398th Army Engineers 1943-1945. Saw action in England, Belgium and France. Was in Vailly-sur-Ainse France on Victory in Europe Day. Commander of 803rd Infantry Battalion Washington Army National Guard, Everett WA. Received the Meritorious Service Award Medal July 22, 1976.
Clyde loved hunting, fishing, horses, and spending time with his family. He leaves behind daughters, Janet (Bob) Smith and Judith Yandle; sister, Sadie Zeitz; grandchildren, Brad (Kerry) Roberts and Shelly (Matt) Thiem; great granddaughters, Samantha and Kellie Roberts; special family, Gary (Lynn) Tucker, Nancy (Jay) Larson, Diane (John) Schilaty, and Janice Tucker.
Preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Clyde Allen Fields; granddaughter, Diane Roberts; son-in-law, Marv Yandle; and special lady, Clarice Tucker.
Services to be held January 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Bauer Funeral Chapel in Snohomish, WA (public viewing 12:00-1:00 p.m.) Graveside services will follow at GAR Cemetery.
