Gloria Laurine Musselman, born March 2, 1932, passed away peacefully at her home in Mill Creek, WA on August 28, 2026, at the exceptional age of 94.
Gloria was born to Edith Benson and James Harton in Vancouver, B.C. in her beloved Kitsilano Beach area. She was later adopted by Donald Maxwell, who became an important and cherished part of her family -- and upbringing.
Gloria lived in Vancouver until age 20 before moving to Seattle, WA, after marrying George Musselman, who preceded Gloria in death.
Gloria was also preceded in death by her oldest son, Lance.
She is survived by her other three children, Lynn Lee and spouse Bob, Blake Musselman and spouse Brigid, and Lorene Wiggins and spouse Jeremy; her sister, Donna Cameron and spouse Ken; as well as her seven grandchildren, Kevin, Andrea, Kelly, Lexy, Jake, Bram, and Zack; and nine great-grandchildren, Levi, Emma, Josh, Ellee, Ari, Luke, Revin, Steel, and Netisse. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immense joy and were a critical part of her life.
Gloria went on to make the greater Seattle area her home, where she built her life centered around family, friendships, and a long and dedicated career. She spent more than 40 years working at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, starting in a switchboard role and eventually moving into several key patient representative roles, where she took great pride in devoting herself to helping others.
Gloria will be remembered for her love of horsemanship and animals. She enjoyed bowling, sports (especially baseball), and walking her many dogs over the years around Mill Creek virtually every day. Above all, though, she will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who lived a long and meaningful life surrounded by the people she loved.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and all those whose lives she touched.
