Gwenda Yvonne Dawson

Born Gwenda Yvonne Layne August 2, 1939 to Ellis and Mary Layne, in Waylon Kentucky.

Her family moved to Marion Ohio where she attended school and graduated from Marion Harding High school in 1957.

She met the love of her life Leonard Dawson in Marion and they married on April 16th 1960. They had one daughter Kelli Lynn, born in 1963. They moved to Hawaii in 1967 where they spent many years until they moved to Washington state in 1977.

Gwen loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing she loved nothing more than to be in the kitchen cooking a huge meal for her family. She also loved to work on her genealogy researching family history and all the story she could tell the stories never ended and they were always funny and exciting.

Her biggest joy in life were her two grandchildren, Kelsey Marylynn Summers and Jonah Michael Lauterbach, her love for them was like no other. She was the perfect role model of what a grandma should be. She was their biggest supporters in whatever they did an unconditional love that goes on forever.

She leaves behind her husband of 57 years Leonard Dawson, her daughter Kelli Neatherlin, son in law Rick Neatherlin, grandchildren Kelsey Summers and Jonah Lauterbach. Brother Mick Layne, sister in law Joann Layne nephews Michael Scott Layne and Jeff Layne, numerous relatives that she's loved dearly and held close to her heart,
