One of Helen’s greatest pleasures in life was being a nurse, and she was active in her profession for over 40 years. Over the years, she worked at Stevens Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Public Health Hospital, and Veteran’s Administration (VA) Hospital. She developed nursing skills in many departments including: ER, ICU, CCU, medical/surgical, and finally in oncology.

Helen loved to travel and took several trips throughout her lifetime. She visited Mexico, England, Denmark, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Portugal, Spain, Gibraltar, and Canada, in addition to her travels throughout the USA. She was also very fond of basset hounds and owned several throughout her life. Helen cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren, and loved going out to eat with them, particularly the Old Spaghetti Factory or Shari’s.

Helen is survived by her 4 children: John Scott of Snohomish, Terry Scott of Kent, David Scott of Lynnwood, and Mary Robbins of Snohomish; 5 grandchildren: Kory, Mathew, Mitchell, Sarah, and Michelle; and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Earl Eliason, and her beloved aunt Mae.
