Henry was a good guy and is missed dearly.

Family and Friends of Henry,
I was a year behind Henry at Sultan High School and I remember him in school plays.  He was such an amazing spirit.  His manner easily brought many   characters to life.  We had such good times working behind the scenes and preparing for various plays.  Henry was so approachable and had a smile that brightened everyone around him. The last time I saw him he was busy with the church and of course his mail route.  It had been years since we'd seen each other, but it was just like we'd stepped off the school bus.  I was so sorry to hear of his passing.  I pray for family and friends and ask Gods grace and peace be with you.  Know that he'll always be thought of and missed.  Mimi

My husband and I are new friends and neighbors of about 1 year to Henry and Linda.  We have been praying constantly for a miracle and safe return for Henry ... I put him on our church prayer chain.  We are deeply sorry and grieved to learn of Henry's hidden pain and untimely death.  We are so very sorry.  I recently read on Liz's Instagram that Henry enjoyed pictures of post offices from around the country ... in honor of him, I was in Anchorage, Alaska last week and took a picture of their post office surrounded in snow for dear Henry.  I will mail it to the family at the address given online.  Sending so much love, hugs and prayers to Linda, Henry's children, grandchildren, family and friends.  God bless and strengthen you all ... Henry was a classmate through our 12 years of school in Sultan.  He was liked by everyone & he always had a smile & treated each of us as a true friend.  He was smart & funny & kind.  Everyone knew he'd be successful.  Most of us have found that true success isn't having an important job & lots of money, but having the love of family & friends, & having a personal relationship with Christ.  I'm so glad that Henry had all these things & that he lived to see his grandchildren.  I was blessed to have been a classmate & friend, & my heart & prayers go out to those who were closest to him.  Enjoy eternity, Henry!

I wish I had known more about Henry before this happened. What I do know is that he was my mail man for many years and I had the utmost respect for him. We talked many times and was always very considerate. I miss him!

Henry and my Dad are smiling down on us. Henry reminded me so much of my Dad. Both were so friendly with everyone, always praying for people, always a kind word, always witnessing. Take care of each other in heaven. May you rest in peace my friend.

Henry was a true friend and mentor to me. I served side by side with him in the  Awana ministry at our church for the past 5 years.  His love for the Lord was evident to all who knew him.  I truly miss his friendship, encouragement and the bond of Christ that we shared.  I look forward to seeing him again one day in heaven, where he is now, in perfect peace, enjoying our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ forevermore!  Love you Henry!

While I did not have the pleasure of knowing Henry he has touched me deeply. What a wonderful man. My sincere condolences to the family and friends. You and Henry are in my thoughts.

Henry, I had so hoped for a different ending to this story. 
You were a sweet soul in school, smiling, kind, and intelligent.  You remained so throughout your life, it seems, beloved by many, a rare feat in these times we live in.

Henry was my classmate from Sultan.  He was always so kind his smile was like the light of a candle,although we won't see that smile anymore the light from it will be shining bright for years to come. That light came from JESUS that was always in his heart. The candle that is lit here may it shine  forever. God's healing and love for your family❤❤❤

I cannot believe the story ends this way.  You have always been and will remain one of my best and oldest friends. You were the pragmatic one, the old soul of the group, intelligent, mature and very kind. Never angry or upset, always there to help.  Sorry I could not return the favor. My heart grieves for all of Henry's family.  He was a kind & loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother.  I am sorry his sadness was so great that he forgot all those who loved him dearly.  I wish you all peace.

I worked with Henry in various church ministries and counted him as my valued friend.  There is sometimes the idea that to appeal to children or youth, we need to identify someone who is flashy and "cool".  Henry was not that type; he was down-to-earth, humble, gentle, and kind.  Kids absolutely clung to his nurturing presence and found in him an appealing, approachable and trustworthy guide. He was someone who earnestly tried to apply godly wisdom to his life, and who wrestled with tough questions in a transparent way.  I am so deeply saddened to learn of his more recent challenges, and how they affected him.  His death is a great loss to all of us, and I send my heartfelt condolences to Linda and his extended family.

I remember Henry and the way I met him througj his sister Lillian. My family was included in theirs and we were invited to many of their family gatherings. Henry was a close friend and had a sweet heart. He was a faithful follower of Jedus. He wanted more than anything to serve him. I am so sorry his life ended like it did. I send heartful prayers to the family and his wife in particular. I will always remember Henrys smile and enthuziasm  in life.

My heart breaks for your entire family. 

My overall memories of Henry (which go back to when I was a young girl of probably 12 or 13)when Henry used to come over to visit my parents (his sister Lillian was my mom's best friend). He would sit around our table drinking tea and visiting for hours. He was always smiling and laughing, and I remember having deep conversations with him about his life (when he went to college), the farm, religion, beliefs, life in general. Always kind, always lighthearted, always smiling. Over the years I lost touch with him, and then several years ago began to run into him around town again more, and met his now wife Linda (they were usually with his son). Anyway, we visited and shared tidbits about our lives... I loved seeing him happy. That is how I will always remember him - smiling, cheerful, caring, kind, considerate.... a wonderful man who dearly loved his family and friends, who always had something nice to say, who was great fun to talk to, joke with and sometimes tease (he used to turn such a nice shade of red).... my heart is full of memories of Henry and his wonderful family (I know his sisters and some of his nieces and nephews, and other assorted relatives)... all of them were such a big part of my growing up years... my heart is broken over the ending of this story, and yet... whenever I see a photo of Henry posted anywhere... there is his smile. His spirit will live on in those who remember him and hold him close in their heart.
