

Jim loved his family. Jim is survived by his wife Cheryl after 54 years of marriage. Immediate family members are: Shannon Morgan, daughter; Jim Jr. son; Jim Jr’s wife Melanie. Grandchildren: Kaylie Morgan; Morgan Miller; Steele Morgan & Steele’s wife, Arianna; McKenzie Miller; Jett Morgan; Melanie’s two children, Skylar & Starla.
Jim is survived by older brother Al & younger brother Don. Jim is predeceased by his parents, LaVina and Herbert Morgan and older brother Bob.
Jim graduated from Mountlake Terrace High School in 1963 where he excelled in Football, Basketball, and Track. Jim led the Seattle 1962, All-Metro Football League in Total Offense, Yards Rushing, and Touchdowns. He was second in Pass Receiving. Jim was selected to the city of Seattle 1962 All-Metro League Football Team for both offense and defense. Jim was also selected as one of the two most outstanding football players for the 1962 Seattle, All-Metrol Football League. In basketball, Jim was the leading scorer for the Mountlake Terrace team. In track, Jim broke the Washington state record in the 100 yard dash with a time of 9.8 seconds while tying for second place. Jim was second in the All-Metro 440-yard run with a time of 51.6.
Jim worked for Frito Lay for 30 years. He was an avid gardener and lifelong weight lifter.
Jim will be sorely missed by his large caring family. As Jim’s daughter Shannon stated, “He is in a better place”.
