Jasmine Jones-Grisim, age 14, of Everett, died on March 12, 2015 in Monroe, WA. We mourn today and will mourn forever the sudden loss of our beautiful daughter. We are filled with emptiness, anger, and sadness. We are haunted by regrets. Jasmine’s delicate and loving heart, complicated and brilliant mind, old and knowing soul, and striking beauty were among the gifts she brought to this world. We will remember her love for horses, music, singing, photography, reading and writing. She felt her emotions with great intensity. She made delicious chocolate peanut butter squares that she loved to share with her friends and family. She loved to organize things. We will remember her ideas and her dreams. We will ask why. We know that she was suffering, but while our pain is great now, hers was greater and now she is free. She is survived by her mother, Joni Jones and father, Brent Grisim; her sister Grace Jones-Grisim, and brother Warren Grisim and her grandparents Gene and Sharon Jones, Carole and Dennis Dimico, Keith and Bonnie Grisim, and Kenlynn Gilbert; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins too numerous to list. A memorial service will be held Sunday, 3/22/15 at 2PM at Thomas Family Farm in Snohomish.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Youth Suicide Prevention Program (www.yspp.org) in memory of Jasmine Jones-Grisim. Please note, corporate matching donations may be available with your individual donation.
For those wishing to send flowers, they will be accepted at Thomas Family Farms beginning Saturday, March 21, 2015.
There will be tables prepared for a potluck meal, and all guests are welcome to bring a dish to share.
The family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks from the outpouring of support from the community.
