Leila H. Carlson

Leila Carlson, 91, joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 14, 2012. Leila was born in Everett, WA March 17, 1921. She was the daughter of Frank and Mary Berg. She lived her early years on a farm near Minot, North Dakota. Leila lived her high school years in Everett and graduated from Everett High, class of 1939. Leila’s favorite time was spent cooking a great meal for family and friends! She truly loved her family and her work ethic learned in North Dakota served her well!

Leila was married to Fred Carlson for 66 years. Fred preceded her passing and we know they are sharing their eternal life together. Leila leaves a loving family of two daughters: Sharon Perrigoue (Denny), and Audrey Hibbard (Ralph); two sons: Jerry Carlson (Rosa), and Doug Carlson (Margi); 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Leila was preceded in death by infant son, Kenneth, in 1943, and daughter-in-law, Sandy Carlson.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, October 20th at 12 noon at the Monroe Baptist Church, 1405 West Main St., Monroe, WA. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Monroe Baptist Church. A visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 PM Friday and 9-10 AM Saturday at Bauer Funeral Chapel, Snohomish.
