Linda Baker of Machias, WA; born to Willis and Marjorie Lyons in January 1940; born-again in Christ in 1951. On May 7th, 1962 she married her only husband William Baker. She left his arms for Jesus’ embrace on May 7th, 2012; their 50th anniversary. The Lord gave her a few talents, and she now returns them many-fold. He is now her rest and reward.
Linda’s heritage begins with her husband William. He survives her along with their family:
Son William.
Son Daniel and daughter Jessica with their four sons.
Son Joseph and daughter Patricia with their two sons and one daughter, two grandsons and three granddaughters.
Linda made Machias her permanent home in 1980, where she enjoyed communing with God in the woods on her property, and spent many hours with her grandchildren on nature walks in the Machias area. She always had time to visit over a cup of tea, especially if chocolate was involved. Linda was a devoted mother and doting grandmother. Her grandbabies truly were her delight. She will be greatly missed by us all.
Mom loved attending C.F.O. Christian Retreats over the last 40 years with her children and grandchildren. It is fitting that memorial gifts are sent in Linda’s name to: Assoc. of Camps Farthest Out, Inc., 317 S. Madison Ave, Watkins Glen, NY 14891.
Funeral Services will be held Noon, Saturday, May 12th, at Bauer Funeral Chapel, 701 1st Street, Snohomish, WA, with graveside service at Machias Community Cemetery. A reception dinner will follow at Granite Falls Bible Baptist Church, 509 S. Granite Ave, Granite Falls. The family welcomes all who loved Linda to join us in celebrating her life.
