Marlene Lorraine Fenton

Marlene "Molly" Lorraine Fenton (Krause) b. February 15, 1937 d. January 19, 2013. She was a lifelong Snohomish resident, her grandparents having homesteaded the North shore of the Snohomish River valley in the late 1800s. She was pragmatic and stoic in her life, yet loved to laugh. She was determined to go 'on her own terms' which she was able to do. She worked for the Snohomish School District for many years in food service and bus driving, and delivered flowers for Garden City Floral after her official retirement. She loved to drive for work, and for going on road adventures. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Jim Fenton, and Daughter Lisa. She is survived by her five children, Mike (Jan) of Sterling, AK, Murray (Jody) of Soldotna, AK, Jonathon (Jackie) of Lynnwood, Jim (Laurel) of Snohomish, and Jalene (Aaron) of Seattle- as well as 7 grandchildren. She was a tremendous mother and friend and will be missed greatly, but is peaceful in her return to The Lord. Viewing will be Friday, January 25, 2013 at Bauer Funeral Chapel from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Snohomish Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM, followed by committal service at G.A.R. cemetery. Following the committal at the cemetery, family and friends are invited for a reception at the farm.
