Mary Dawn Arns

Mary Dawn Camphouse Simmons Arns was born June 6, 1936, to John Vernon Camphouse and Donna Cahoon in Hibbard, Madison County, Idaho. She passed peacefully at home on June 14, 2025. She has one sister, Sandra and three brothers, Michael, Wade, and Jeffrey. Mary Dawn was married November 24, 1952 to Gail Simmons. They divorced in 1976. They had 4 children together. Cathy (Gene). Ricky, Cynthia, and Todd. Mary Dawn’s stepchildren, also much loved, Renee (Joe), and Bill (Juli). They blessed her with 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Mary Dawn and Gail moved with their family to Washington in 1967. She began working at Hostess Bakery in 1968 and retired in 1998. She and Gail divorced in 1976. In 1981, she started dating her future husband and love of her life, Keith Arns. They had 44 happy and loving years together. They married on October 4, 2014. They retired to Tempe, AZ in 1998 and moved to Mesa, AZ in 2019. Mary Dawn is greatly loved by her entire family. And, oh she loved her little Mitzy! Absent from the body is present with the Lord. Well done good and faithful servant!! Mary Dawn is forever honored as a fine daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She always walked in love. We are all well pleased with her. Mary Dawn is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 3 children, and 2 grandsons.
