My aunt, Ruth Merdian, knew Genette for years because they played golf in Everett.  Aunt Ruth moved to Mount  Vernon where they continued to visit either by phone or when Genette would visit.  When They said goodbye, my aunt would say "bye kid" and Genette would say bye from "Mack de nife"-obviously a little history between them.  So "bye kid" and "love ya" from Trish.

I have so many fond memories of "Genette."  I was her pastor for many years until my retirement last February 1st.  She was a marvelous lady with a great sense of humor, sharp mind and a curiosity about everything.  For years a faithful worshipper and member of the Cascade View Presbyterian Church in Everett, Wa.  Over the years we shared many hours of conversation and good friendship.  I will miss her greatly.  My prayers are with her friends and family. Blessings,  Pastor Bob Higgins
