Mary Lou Lauterbach, 74, of Snohomish passed away suddenly March 2, 2013 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born August 30, 1938 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Harry and Dorothy Draper. Mom worked as a grocery checker for over 30 years starting with Hereth Thriftway in Snohomish, then Olsons, and finally QFC in Canyon Park until her retirement. Mary loved shopping, decorating, flowers, and spending time with her family. She loved her many trips to Hawaii, weekends at the beach with her friends, and also her trips back to Missouri to visit her Aunt. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was dedicated to her family and very proud of each of them. As well as a best friend to all whose lives she touched.
Mary is survived by her husband, Kenneth Lauterbach; children, Debbie (Garth) Lervold, Brian Hathaway, and Chip Lauterbach; brothers, Harry (Zona) Draper, and Harold Draper; and sister, Dorothy (Dennis) Baumann; grandchildren, Garth III, Kelsey, and Jonah; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as her life-long friends, Diane and Don Berg; family friends Al and Peggy Williams, and the Moro family. She was preceded in death by siblings, Becky Draper, Pam Draper, Pat Cool, and Mark and Candace Draper.
Mom was the rock of our family and we can be comforted she is at peace but the loss of her smile and sense of humor will forever be cherished and missed by all of us.
