

Michael was born in Everett, WA, grew up in West Seattle and Monroe, graduating from Snohomish High School in 1970. Mike earned a BA in Architecture from UW and Master's degree from Southern CA Institute of Architecture. His office was in Snohomish, where he had a birds-eye view of First St, retiring in 2023.
He married Joan Silver in 1974. They raised two children, Rachel & Michael, divorcing in the mid-90s. In 2010, at their 40th high school reunion, Mike met Donna Thomas, and the two were partners for the remainder of his life.
Mike loved his home on Lord Hill, where he could often be found on the front porch, taking in the view He was an avid fisherman, hiker & dart player, and had a love-hate relationship with golf.
In addition to Donna, Mike leaves behind his daughter, Rachel (Phil), son, Michael, brothers Dave (Tomoko), Tom (Bobbi Ann), Scott (Jo), and many lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Elton & his mother, Peggy.
