

She married George Shackelford and they had four children.
She was an avid reader who loved historical fiction and family history. Also, as a Disney enthusiast, she enjoyed going to the Parks with her grandchildren and had quite a collection of Disney memorabilia.
During her life, she worked as an educational assistant at Machias Elementary School during the 90’s; and she was a proud cast member at World of Disney at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
She was an incredible cook and was well known for her many dishes including enchiladas, Swiss Steak, and banana cake. A sports enthusiast, her favorite teams were the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks, and Michigan State Football and basketball.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, who always put her kids first. Her grandkids were the light of her life; and she adored them. She always gave and never expected anything in return. As a kind and generous person, anyone who walked into her home was family and was always fed well.
She is survived by her children, Ronald (Anne), David, Kristina (Josh), and Susanne; 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; her brothers, Tom (Anne) and John; sister, Sandy (Pat), as well as a nephew and niece and many cousins.
Service will be held: April 22nd, 2:00pm at the Luntz Resort on Lake Campbell in Anacortes, WA.
