Regina Hope Greene was born on September 19, 1947, to Thomas and Ruth Greene in Miami, Florida. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday afternoon, December 9, 2018, at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett after a long fight with Arthritis, COPD, Congestive Heart Failure, and Osteoporosis. Regina never met her father as he passed away suddenly before she was born. However, we are certain that he was one of the first to great her at Heaven’s door.
Regina spent her early years on the East Coast in Florida and later North Carolina before relocating to San Francisco where she attended elementary school. Prior to the start of high school they moved 20 miles south to the small coastal town, Pacifica. Regina attended the newly constructed Terra Nova High School and was a member the first freshman class to attend all four years.
After high school, she had several careers including nurse, preschool teacher, baker, and cake decorating instructor. However, her most favorite titles were “mother” and “grandmother”. Regina married Gordon Gross in Millbrae, California, on October 26, 1975. Together they raised three children in Pacifica: John, Kevin, and Kimberly. Their Pacifica home was always full of family, friends, good food, and many craft projects. She relocated to Everett in 2013 to be closer to family and continued to enjoy time with family, friends, baking, canning, and crafting.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived three children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her love of her family and friends as well as her baking and crafting.
