Rick Antone Sorensen, 65 of Snohomish, WA, went to Heaven on July 5, 2018 with his son, Brandon by his side.
Rick was born in Everett, WA, on February 1, 1953 and he was the fourth child born to E.T. (Sam) and Lois Sorensen. Rick attended Cascade High School and served three years active duty in the US Army, followed by three years reserve duty.
He was a familiar face at Harvey Field where he spent many years working with the airport operations ground and line crew. Rick was well known in the Snohomish community for his latte stops, airport errands, and his charismatic personality. Rick had a proud love of family and he enjoyed road trips, camping, hunting, trap shooting, the outdoors, and a good steak. Rick is survived by his three children: Brandon Christopher Sorensen (Shelly), Chuck Ralph Sorensen, and Charity Joyce Conley and seven grandchildren: Mickella Don Conley, Wesley Garrett Conley, Kyle Dylan Sorensen, Sam David Sorensen, Cody Don Sorensen, Morgan Taylor Daigneault, Jaxson Lee Sorensen and one great granddaughter, Cecelia June Opel. Aside from children and grandchildren, Rick is survived by five siblings that meant the world to him, each in their own unique way; Kandace Harvey-Stiffler (Philip), Sam Sorensen (Linda), Shawn Haugen (Rick), Christi Otness (Arthur), and Heather Matthews (Paul) along with dozens of cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Lois Sorensen, and his sister, Billie Jo Tapert Wright.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church, Snohomish, at 11:00 a.m., Friday July 20, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rick's memory to Hospice of Snohomish County.
