Bob was born on March 23rd, 1940 to Frank & Bette Eddy. He passed away at his home on October 19th, 2018 due to complications of advances COPD.
Bob was born in Kirkland, WA and lived in Everett and Monroe prior to his family moving to Lord Hill in Snohomish in 1949. Bob attended Snohomish schools and graduated from Snohomish High School in 1958.
Bob married Vera Frank in 1961 and together they built their current home on Lord Hill in 1963. Beginning at age 18 Bob was a member if Boilermakers #104. He worked at Todd Shipyard (Seattle), retiring in 1995. After leaving Todd’s, Bob enjoyed working for several local farmers. He assisted and supported his wife, Vera, for 17 years at Snohomish Floral. He was an active member in the Sky Valley Stock & Antique Tractor Club and enjoyed annual shows at the Evergreen State Fair.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his infant brother, Raymond. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Vera; daughters Cindy Eddy-Thompson (Mike) and Cheryl Eddy (Reggie); Son Rick Eddy (Coby); Grandchildren: Beth (Devon), Alex & Austin; Great-grandchildren: Lacy, Reese& Josiah; Brother Don Eddy (Ginger); Sister Jan Aalbu (Larry); and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at the GAR Cemetery in Snohomish on Thursday, November 8th and 1:00 P.M.
The family wishes to thank the many workers of Providence Hospice & Home Care of Snohomish County for the care and compassion shown Bob and family the last several weeks of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Providence Hospice & Home Care.
