Ronald Hank Gaylor finally got his wings on July 8, 2022. He passed at his home with his family by his side. Ron was born in Sedro Woolley, WA to Hank and Dossie Gaylor the 4th of 5 children. Ron served his country serving in the Army for 20 years. He served 2 tours in Vietnam, receiving the Purple Heart and several other distinguished service medals. He was stationed in Hanau, Germany, Fort Leonard Wood, MO, Fort Rucker, AL, Fort Benning, GA retiring from West Point, New York.
Ron is survived by his wife, Jocelyn and son, Ezekiel of the family home. He is also survived by his daughter Jennifer Meyer, son Matthew Gaylor and wife Tina, and grandson Tony Gaylor all of Lake Stevens. Also survived by grandson Devin Meyer of Hoover, AL his sister Kay Pettyjohn of Colorado and his first wife Brenda Van Volkenburg. Ron also leaves 3 very precious great grandchildren, Gauge, Leighton and Ember Gaylor who will truly miss their "Scooter".
Ron is now soaring with the Eagles fulfilling his life-long dream of being able to fly. He diligently studied human powered flight, art history and enjoyed writing poetry, a gift from his Dad. Ron spent many hours studying the Bible. He was always ready to help others whether it was working on their car, putting something together or just giving someone a lift or a few bucks.
Funeral services will be at Bauer Funeral Chapel in Snohomish on Thursday, August 4, 2022 with visitation at 10:00 and services at 11:00. A grave-side service will follow at Tahoma National Cemetery at 1:30. A time of remembering and celebrating Ron's life will be held at Brenda Van Volkenburg's home at 4:00
