May 07, 1957 - February 23, 2021
Sheila was born on May 7, 1957 in Sisseton, South Dakota to Allen and Char (Dirks) Jarman. She grew up on a farm northeast of Peever, South Dakota. She attended school in Browns Valley, Minnesota until the age of 9 when she transferred to Peever and graduated from Sisseton High School in 1975. As a child she loved to read and was athletic and artistic. Her siblings remember everything was more fun when she was involved. She was always a hard worker, working since the age of 16.
She became a mother in 1976 which began her 43-year span of parenting five children, having her first child at age 18 and her last at age 42. Being a mother, caretaker, and servant leader came natural to her. In 1982, she moved to Aberdeen, South Dakota and attended Northern State University where she received her degree in Business Administration. She went on to work in the field of Human Resources for several years. While working for FMC Corporation in Aberdeen, she met her husband Peter. Career moves took them to Pennsylvania, Florida, and eventually Snohomish, Washington, where she lived for the last 21 years. In 2000, she and Peter purchased Minuteman Press, a print shop in Everett, Washington, which they have operated together ever since.
She cherished the Lord, adored being a mother, and loved her family. Sheila’s faith in the Lord was a staple in her life and she was a devoted member of her church, where she was active with children’s, women’s, and prayer ministries, was involved with annual Vacation Bible School, and loved helping with the church’s nursery. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandchildren, playing board games (especially Scrabble), visiting with family and friends for hours, talking politics, and her cooking and baking will truly be missed. Perhaps most of all, she will be remembered for her loving and positive nature - she always had a smile and life never got her down. Sheila died on February 23 at Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington at the age of 63 from sudden complications due to undiagnosed cancer.
Sheila is survived by her husband Peter L. Faber, father Allen Jarman, her children Dawn (LaCroix) McGrady, Michael Quinn, Peter E. Faber, and Daniel Faber, 2 sisters, 5 brothers, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her eldest son Allen LaCroix, mother Char Jarman, and brother Roger Jarman.
